Separation line YouMums

This project was conceived to prove the social impact Education has when made accessible to more underprivileged segments of the population.

It is also rooted in Māori values around collaboration and community support. As immigrants, the team leading this project has been highly inspired by the wisdom this culture holds and Whakatauki like

"Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi Engari, he toa takitini." - “My strength is not that of a single warrior but that of many.”

have profoundly influenced the vision for this project.

Orewa baby market fundraiser YouMums

In partnership with CareerMum NZ and thanks to the kind koha (donation) from the founder of the Orewa Good As New - Pre-loved baby and kids market, Natasha and Nikki,

YouMums is proud to announce we managed to fundraise $455 through this event!!!!

Tenā koutou to all of our Kaitautoko (supporters) for their toys & clothing donations.

In partnership with Marisia Inger, the talented naturopath at Bloom Wellness NZ and a last minute input from Gill Bredl from Charity Tea, we managed to fundraise just over $300 through the four cooking classes that took place throughout August-September 2019.

Tenā koutou to all of our Kaitautoko (supporters) who came along to learn and taste some French cuisine.

It has been a delight to pass on educational outcomes that can inspire others.

Hibiscus and Bays Local board - Auckland Council

Bloom Wellness NZ

To reinforce how much more we need to support Mothers, over the coming months, I will be holding a series of workshops and panel discussions on the Hibiscus Coast. The events will follow the steps of the motherhood journey to provide support and better access to resources at a stage that is relevant to you.

Each event will be live-streamed (because of course we can!) and each recording will be donated to charities supporting Kiwi families who can’t afford specialist care or knowledge (because of course, that's what we're all about - SOCIAL IMPACT FIRST).

In fact, these events are a pilot programme to prove the social impact of the YouMums concept can have.

It is super important for us to keep the attendance fees of these events low and for that, we'd like to thank The Hibiscus Coast and Bays local board for their contribution.

Therefore to cover the rest of the costs, we are setting up a few fundraiser events.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
